These Terms of Use ("Terms") form a legal agreement between you and Crown Shrine ("we", "us", "our"), an independent editorial project published from London, United Kingdom. By accessing crown-shrine.com (the "Service") you accept these Terms.
1. Definitions
1.1 "Service" means the website crown-shrine.com and all associated content.
1.2 "User" means any individual who accesses or uses the Service.
1.3 "Content" means all editorial text, images, code and other material published by us on the Service.
2. Acceptance of Terms
2.1 By using the Service you confirm that you are at least 13 years old.
2.2 If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.
3. Description of Service
The Service is an editorial guide to selected churches and cathedrals of London. It is informational and is not a booking, ticketing or pastoral service. We are not affiliated with any of the institutions described.
4. User Conduct & Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in any unlawful manner or for any unlawful purpose.
- Reproduce, copy or republish substantial portions of the Content without our prior written permission, except as permitted by UK copyright law (e.g. fair dealing for criticism or review).
- Attempt to interfere with the security or integrity of the Service, including by introducing malicious code or attempting unauthorised access.
- Use automated means (other than well-behaved search-engine crawlers respecting our robots.txt) to scrape Content at a rate that imposes an unreasonable burden on our servers.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 All Content is the property of Crown Shrine or its licensors and is protected under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
5.2 You may quote short extracts of text with attribution and a link back to the source page on crown-shrine.com.
5.3 Trade marks shown on the Service belonging to third parties (such as the institutions described) remain the property of their respective owners.
6. Termination
We may suspend or restrict your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. On termination, sections 5, 7, 8, 10 and 11 will survive.
7. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE EXCLUDE ALL REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, CONDITIONS AND TERMS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF SATISFACTORY QUALITY, FITNESS FOR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT, AND OPENING TIMES, TICKET PRICES AND OTHER PRACTICAL INFORMATION MAY CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS OR EXCLUDES OUR LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE, FOR FRAUD, OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED OR EXCLUDED UNDER ENGLISH LAW.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the home page.
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10.2 The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising in connection with these Terms, save that consumers resident in another part of the United Kingdom may bring proceedings in their local courts.
10.3 If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect (severability).
